The ATNR (Auckland Thursday Night Ride) is a weekly social gathering starting with a 1-1/2hour Ride finishing with Dinner and Drinks.  This ride is predominately a KiwiBiker ride, but is open to all riders as long as you can confidently ride @ 100kph on the open road - Sport bikes, cruisers, dual purpose welcome.

What: A ride up some great backroads finishing with Dinner and Drinks
When: Every Thursday night after work (WEATHER PERMITTING!)
Where: Shell WESTGATE (end of the North Western Motorway - see attached map)
Why: To meet other Motorcyclists, kick tyres and talk about Motorbikes
Time: Meeting there from 6.30pm, ride brief and departure @ 7pm
How: On ya bike, silly!
Pace: Open to all as long as you don't ride snail pace >100kph

This is a weekly ride after work, finishing off with Dinner and Drinks at BAR AFRICA Cnr of William Pikering Dr and Omega Place, Albany. Anyone who cannot come/not keen on riding is still very welcome to join us at the pub for a social get-together 8.30pm onwards (bring your car if you wish..)......

The route will be discussed on the night at the pre-ride briefing.  The ATNR is known to the Police, so if you wish to do 140+ speeds, I would suggest you go and do it somewhere else.......  For those concerned about distance/time the ride will last for approx 1hr - 1half and is around 70kms long. We start at Westgate and finish up at Albany. The route is changed from time to time depending on group numbers and road conditions.

With Winter riding, it is best practise to use clear visors - please keep the tints/iridium's for the summer riding! We will be riding in the dark, don't ya know! Wrap up warm, as you are at the risk of getting fatigued faster by the cold.

If it is raining, there is a good chance it will be cancelled.  However quite a few riders will still meet up at BAR AFRICA for a natter and game of pool.

Disclaimer: You participate on this ride at your own risk. I will not be held accountable for anyones actions, to/from and during the ride.. Anyone who is caught endangering others by their actions may be asked to leave the ride and refused entry to forthcoming rides! I will not be responsible for people ending up at Wellsford due to not listening to instructions nor the pointer system failing..........

Looks a fine event and good format. Will have to get some more interested in Hams to come up and tag along :)
Having a regular place to meet for a bite to eat at the end is a good plan... Wondering how to incorporate that into our Wed night ride.
