no this is not a Metallica thread smile.gif

Warr took a tumble.

Broken wrists
Broken fingers
Broken collar
Broken shoulder blade
Broken arm
Broken ribs (lots of them, front and back)
Severe muscle injury in his neck ... but this should heal quite quickly

not life threatening

Broken bike ... very very very broken .. it only resembles what used to be a bike now sad.gif

tonight Warren is chocka block full of morphein .. he is lucid and can vaguely talk.
He is not in pain .. at the moment, but as the drugs wear off .. erk !!!!

He will be in hospital for a while .. maybe weeks, I'm not sure really, I've not known anyone to break this many ribs

The carcass that was once a VFR is lying on my lawn.
It was not really worth picking up, but might be usefull for the insurer to view

I'll be checking up on him again tomorrow
TerminalAddict
he's talking much better today ..... having conversations almost .. he's not up to visitors yet .. I stayed for about 3 or 4 minutes before I could see he need to stop pretending to be ok smile.gif

He is under the watchful guard of his two daughters wink.gif

Its a shame to hear about this. We will try come up in a couple of weeks, but not sure yet, depends on work etc.

Hope he isnt in too much pain and gets to keep taking pain killers.

Certainly makes ya think
Warrens one of the best riders I’ve known over the years, and when you look at the evidence at the crash site you are left with the impression there was other things at play other than his riding ability.

Kind of a chilling reminder that you never know what’s around the corner, that a bike is a mechanical machine prone to failures now and then, and we would all do well to bear that in mind when we ride.

There’s no way I would like to be lying where our mate is right now – and pray he has a speedy recovery

The cause of the fire, Pic6 I suspect

We can rebuild her, VFR750 right - what year

been to see him again ... the drugs are wearing off, and he can sustain "some" conversation.

When you the machine start pumping, pack yer bags tho' coz he's on his way back to sleep pretty soon after getting a shot of morphein wink.gif
2 wheel madness
Not the news i was expecting to read, hope he has a quick recovery without to many long term problems.

Where did this happen? was it just him involved?
TerminalAddict
back tyre blow out I suspect .. so yes just him

warren has called me again this morning biggrin.gif he can barely string a sentence together, but he wants to call me biggrin.gif

He's waiting to visit surgery today to start work on his wrist, and there has been mention of pins in his hands.

Still doped up "to the max"

Lol at Pete... your not seriously going to try and rebuild it right? Surely nothing in that bike is safely salvageable. Like even the frame would be seriuosly impaired? Plus its probably cheaper to buy a new one. He always talks about the hornet paul.. maybe that would be a good excuse for you to upgrade tongue.gif

didn't end up seeing him tonight .. he was in surgery from 2, and I swapped text messages with his daughter at about 8 and she its not worth the visit . .he's not awake etc etc ..
