I hope Warrs ok and he recovers fully from his off.
I had a fall today too. Woman in a van pulled out in front of me.
Clear day with nothing blocking her view, bright yellow triumph with headlights on. Claims "she didn't see me". Yeah heard that before.
So in short the bikes got bent forks, possible bent wheel, all the fairings are buggered. Headlights stuffed, bent clip-ons and broken mirror and both right side footpegs snapped off. All in all a wonderful day. But at least it's not as bad as Warrs accident, so I was lucky. My only injuries are a huge bruise on me leg, a pulled hamstring and an aching back.
Sigh.....is it all worth it?!! angry.gif

man .. what a bad weekend all round .... are you all insured?
was the plod involved? will the woman get prosecuted for failing to give way or some such?

makes you angry when the beaut gets all scrathed up eh? cray.gif

Shit dude thats no good sad.gif
Good to hear that you didnt get too many injuries. A shame two McRiders hurt in 24 hours or so.
Have you got insurance or did she?
Hope you get your bike up and running soon.
And yes, its all worth it, althought i havn't crashed, i dont know the pain caused. But i'ld rather be on a bike than in a car any day.
Heal up Quick

Yeah the cops were involved. I rang them straight away on me mobile. She has insurance and admitted liability. The cop saw it my way too. The woman was issued an infringement notice for her stupidity. So all going well there should be no issues getting it fixed. Only downer is that the closest Triumph dealer to me is Tauranga.(Im in Rotorua), so it'll be a while before I get it back I reckon.
Yeah it's worth it...I'm just pissed off. Haven't had it long and this was the first real fine day I've had a chance to ride her. Grrr!
Cheers guys.

Dinged my helmet and put a tear in the back of my touring jacket too, I've just noticed. So they'll need replacing.
EMFORAL
Good thing that she admited liablilty and there wasnt any mucking around.
Oh gutted about helmet and leathers, can you claim them on the insurance aswell?

Hopefully the Tauranga triumph dealer is quick wink.gif

Good luck getting everything sorted

Helmet and leather can be claimed under contents insurance if you have "out of the house" cover.

Cost me about $200 excess on my contents insurance

Ah cool. I shall check my policy.

Update: So, the bike has been written off. $13000 was the repair bill...on a bike I bought for $7750!! wacko.gif *sigh* Only had it just over a month too. Not impressed.
Helmet and jacket are covered under the policy so they get replaced. Now I have to wait to see how much I get paid out and what kind of bike I can look at next. Oh the fun we have. lol. tongue.gif

erk .. surely your bike can't have devalued that much in 6 weeks
danboy
Thats how much parts are to get from the UK + labour. Needed a new front end. All new fairings and rear plastics. New front wheels. New footpegs on the right side (plus the passenger footpeg bracket/exhaust mount are one big chunk of alloy that had to be replaced). New headlights and mounting brackets. New right mirror. New screen. New front right indicator. New exhaust and aftermarket muffler. Yeah...think thats everything. :'(
That would be the advantage of a Jap bike. Cheaper parts and not having to get them from the UK(generally).
Oh well, outta my hands now. I've just gotta wait for the cheque. *taps fingers on the table*

Woohoo! Got an insurance cheque for $10,535. smile.gif So I'm lookin' at maybe buying an '02 Daytona and a new jacket and helmet. Watch this space...

Woohoo! Got an insurance cheque ...

Enjoy the short spending spree. Buy a YELLOW one.
In my family some one else would have tried to grab the cash by now.
