Its not a jappa or a four?
You put this comment in the wrong column. This is what gives it the character which the other middleweights lack. No offense to the Japs either, great bikes. All those other things can be improved and/or changed, it depends on what you want it for. It'll equal anything else around the backroads and it'll do a good job of commuting but it'll always have the sports position. I've not heard that it lacks top end and the suspension should be fully adjustable for you. Just go to someone who knows what they're doing. Kerry's pretty good with suspension. Also, new suspension always takes awhile to break in.
You've tested it then?
Short squirt on one, longer ride next weekend hopefully.
Some of those bad points were in jest - obviously.
Talked to the guys at Holeshot and they have been doing a few trackdays on them so they are pretty clued up on which spring rate I should use for my lighter frame.
I love the sound, the look and the character it has and the price is mad compared to the Jap 600's! Its $15000 for a stock demo, or $17000 for a new one with an upgrade kit. And they are about to drop some more due top the 09 being released shortly! Thats a few grand less than the CBR600RR and its more bike!
I'm hardly an expert rider, or even an average one yet so it should have more than enough for me for a few years yet.
I will have to mod it though, its just a habit I must indulge, exhaust, graphics and paint, discs, brake lines, electronics... could be an interesting few years until Mellissa has a baby and I have a leash fitted to my neck.
