Monamie was asking about a cult so I thought maybe we could build a new Walled City within Manawatu with a big garage for all the bikes and meetings.

You cant wind me up furry features, I'm digital not analogue. Bikers in kilts is an interesting perspective. You play the buellpipes and I'll sing.

Wanted to Buy

200 acres for Manawatu Biker Clan.
Or will exchange 1 acre for 1 Honda and a free kilt.

Subject: Fw: WASH THEM FIRST This is Serious

This incident happened recently in North Texas .
A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of coke which she put into the refrigerator of the boat. On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died on Wednesday.

The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass. Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis.

Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of soda cans before drinking out of them. The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned.

A study at NYCU showed that the tops of soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets (i.e).. full of germs and bacteria. So wash them with water before putting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.

Funny you should mention bikers in kilts... we were looking at the "Yamaha Exhaust" email last night at Meanies thats been doing the round. Its got a prime example of why girls SHOULD where kilts/mini skirts on sportbikes.

Not much crap being talked lately - what's up with that?

Yes!

I forgot to take monday off so delayed it to today. All works out by the end of the week.

Actually, the youngen has come down with chicken pox. sucks alot for him. We are taking alternate days off to look after him. If I take too many days off in a row they might realise how little I do there.

I haven't been riding much the last two weeks, too much work. Which continues this Sunday, I'll be stuck out at Manfeild all day. Gah. Should be along for the Friday night ride this week, all going to plan. I'll leave my bike uncleaned specially for the occasion! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Well, the jadedblade is back up and running and one step closer to sailing off to Canada. Its replacement looks to have been shortlisted in order of preference as follows:

06-08 Truimph 675 - Black
06-08 Honda CBR600RR - Black or White/Green Hannspree TenKate replica
06-08 Yamaha R6 - Any Colour

There's only one bike there worth considering...
But in all seriousness Al's bike would not be a silly idea, you would'nt find a better one that's for sure.

Staying in the 600 class, sorry
86GSXR
Sarge is right, the Triumph is your only option.

Seriously tho, you won't hear anything bad about the 675, and it is doing the business on the racetrack very nicely. Plus, you get the class!
JadedBlade
Oh, there are bad things with everything.

Its got a nasty hard edged seat
Its got a very high seat, very low narrow and cluttered bars
Its got a weak top end power delivery
Its got suspension designed for someone 100kg plus with little leeway for adjustment
Its got strong brakes but vague feel
Its Gearbox isn't super slick
Parts are stupidly expensive
ANZA know next to nothing about it or how to set it up for fun and for trackdays
ANZA can only get one Arrow exhaust for it at $4000!
Its not a jappa or a four

Plus side:
Its pretty sexy looking in black
It sounds great!
Its got a ton of midrange
Found a cheap source of Chinese parts and fairings for it for trackdays
86GSXR
Its not a jappa or a four?

You put this comment in the wrong column. This is what gives it the character which the other middleweights lack. No offense to the Japs either, great bikes. All those other things can be improved and/or changed, it depends on what you want it for. It'll equal anything else around the backroads and it'll do a good job of commuting but it'll always have the sports position. I've not heard that it lacks top end and the suspension should be fully adjustable for you. Just go to someone who knows what they're doing. Kerry's pretty good with suspension. Also, new suspension always takes awhile to break in.

You've tested it then?

Short squirt on one, longer ride next weekend hopefully.
Some of those bad points were in jest - obviously.

Talked to the guys at Holeshot and they have been doing a few trackdays on them so they are pretty clued up on which spring rate I should use for my lighter frame.
I love the sound, the look and the character it has and the price is mad compared to the Jap 600's! Its $15000 for a stock demo, or $17000 for a new one with an upgrade kit. And they are about to drop some more due top the 09 being released shortly! Thats a few grand less than the CBR600RR and its more bike!

I'm hardly an expert rider, or even an average one yet so it should have more than enough for me for a few years yet.

I will have to mod it though, its just a habit I must indulge, exhaust, graphics and paint, discs, brake lines, electronics... could be an interesting few years until Mellissa has a baby and I have a leash fitted to my neck. blush2.gif

On sunday after the leaving Cafe Cuba I ventured around to Pauly and Carmen's place, after a natter Paul and I took a ride over the track and stopped in at the Black stump and another chin wag, coming back through Balance we stopped so Paul could jump on the Fazer and do a couple of drive by's so as I could finally hear what the Arrow pipe actually sounds like.... OMG!! Fook it sound fooking insane! Made the hair stand up on back of my neck and a shiver ran down my spine. Best money i've spent on that bike so far. If your thinking going for an after market can You won't go wrong with an Arrow, Cowboyz bike has an Arrow on it too and it also sounds fooking mint!
Twas a good wee ride too, most enjoyable, cheers to Paul for doing that for me.
