7am start from Breakers. Who's gonna be there? I'm hoping to be but this goddam flu bites the big one - if the weather is crap I may just roll over in bed and go back to sleep...

Love to, but have to work tomorrow.

Have a good one, hope you feel well enough to do it.

Well, I woke up at 3am coughing fit to blow the windows out so did the roll over and go to sleep thing. Mark (Blue bandito) rang at 6:20 to see if was coming and I gave him the news. He's gone anyway and hopefully he'll let us know how it all went.

I sure as hell wouldn't want to be riding for 1o hours in this wind. Gale force predicted in some places. Getting blown of at Castlepoint wasn't fun but that's partly newbie experience.

I'd say Mark won't be far away - last time we finished just after 5.

Just spoke to him on the phone - he's back and could be first as there's nobody else at the bar: 9hrs, 1min.

yep. he is fine. Bike is only cosmetic damage and shouldnt be much to put it back on the road ready for the 4 points.

And I could have been there, sigh...
Apparently only 10 bikes in all - next time.

not surprising with the weather. I am saving my tyres for the 4 points so that put me out anyhow. Went for a nice run up the valley though. Gently pootling is nice.

phew....was wondering whether it was going to ruin the 4P for him

Have had a bit of a report out of him (reckons the weather wasn't that bad, just a couple of showers) - trying to talk him into blogging the ride. He needs to get broadband...
want me to go round there and tell him to join the rest of us in the 21st century?

Sounds like a fun ride, and it appears the wind wasn't as bad to the north as it was around here. Would have been keen to do it if I wasn't working.
