Woolworths has bulk wash'n'wax on special. That might just do it. Don't blind us with the glare.
Horse
Let's not get carried away. I said "might". smile.gif I really can't be arsed, but it is spectacularly filthy atm.
cowboyz

You might need to change bikes halfway, now you can.

I'm planning on getting to Himatangi for early registration, sometime after 9:15. Documented route appears to be over the Saddle.

sarge
Man it sucks being crook, might see if I can take the car to woodville just to check the bikes out for 10 mins then leg it back home.

Hoping you managed to get out.

A great day for the ride, who said it always rains? Met up with Monamie at Feilding and road out to Himatangi through the breeze. Got there just after 9:30. Heaps of bikes heading in just as we arrived. Heaps more arrived right through to 10:00. Nice to catch up with several Manawatu Riders. I think I saw Jaded and Liz hiding behind some old Trumpy's (shame). Horse, Bandit, Martin, Meanie to name a few. Lots of CDMTC Riders.

We had a nice quiet ride up SH1, Feilding, Colyton and over the saddle to meet up for a painfully (left hand, clutch in, out 99x) ride through Main Street, Woodville. Got a couple of sausages and lolly water (didn't see free coffee, pity). After catching up with a few other faces, and hearing a very interesting rumour, I left the others and headed home to domestic doldrums. A fantastic day out. Looking forward to some ride reports on the coast roads.

86GSXR
Ahh bugger, looks fantastic and I've been slaving over a hot sim all day - grrrr. Hope that all had a fab time!

Excellent stuff, so what was the rumour you heard?? Fill us in

I had a parents Vs kids cricket game this morning and then watched the youngen feature in the Ashhurst christmas parade.
I rushed (responibily) to woodville hoping to catch up with the riders there to find them still coming over the saddle road. Mint. Caught up with Glenn in the traffic jam and parked up to find Meanie, BanditRider and co.
Was surprised to see not alot of yokels out there TBH.
Waited till everyone started leaving and headed to the servo for gas. Apparently 500 other people had the same idea. Bugger.
Found sly at the servo having issues.
Criused out towards the beach in a lesiurely fashion letting whoever felt like it go past. The roads were mint and dry so was expecting a bit of carnage. Found alot of riders like to go really really fast in a striaght line. With Meanie in tow we sat on 110km/hr and found we were catching alot of bikes. The riders we saw on display left alot to be desired. Just t qualify this I am not talking about those that ambled their way out in the nice weather. I have no issue at all with people who enjoy riding at a slow pace - but 2 wide blasting down the striaghts and 4 wide crawling round blind corners gets really old, really fast.
Heard of a couple of incidents where bikes made new gateways in fences but didnt see any on the way.
The weather at the beach was mint. Caught up with monamine, Mark and youngen, Horse, BR and company. Hung round prizegiving for a bit before heading back out webber way in the same fashion we went out there. Cruising along making our way round the twisties and was again surpised to run into traffic. Stopped in Dannivegas for hot chocy and supersonic turned up so rode back to ashhurst with him and his father in law, meanie and horse.

Good day out on the bike all in all.

Be good to see less alcohol being drunk on the ride and some guys wearing some gear would be mint too.

Monamie
Yes it was a great day to be riding and neat to see alot of the Friday night peeps.
The roads were a bit shabby in some places and even my group caught up to `traffic' at our leisurely pace.

Gotta love those rumours eh Kittykat tomato.gif (Your hi vis vest got entered twice into the petrol voucher draw and still no luck huh.gif )

cowboyz
what rumours you on about? I heard Mark got a little one and your hot.....
Monamie
You only heard the best bits then...though why he would be telling everyone that I just don't understand girl_impossible.gif (you must have seen it then? dry.gif )

The rumour is.......well you will have to ask Kitty because I am not allowed to tell what went on behind the bike sheds.
cowboyz
enough said. I far too young and innocent to find out what goes on behind the bike sheds.

cowboyz
its the fat guy wearing red. gets em going every time
JadedBlade
Bikes fine, didn't miss a beat the whole trip and even schooled a few newer bigger sportsbikes from the comments it got at the stops.

Lis, on the other hand, had a dickhead push her bike over at the servo to get her out of his way to get to the pumps. He helped pick it up but said nothing else, just sat on his fat assed tourer watching Lis getting pissed off and deciding to bail for home! Unfortunately none of us realised he had been the casue, the whole station thought she dropped it and so we didn't do anything about it other than pick it up for her. Had I known the facts the guy would be needing a panelshop for his bike and a surgeon to rewire his jaw. I'd probably have to replace my helmet afterwards though. If he reads this and has the balls to make issue of it, I'm easy to find.

Missed out on the eBay 675, it went over my self imposed $$$ limit, so I'm still looking.

My bikes off on Wednesday to Canada.

We got lucky on the way in and the way home. Mostly clear roads. Ended up going to Weber - Dannevirke - top grass - gorge way home. Perfect last ride.

My riding has definitely improved in the last year, but I think its time I considered a cheap track bike to get any better.
86GSXR
Bugger on Lis's bike and bugger on the 675! I was looking forward to another Triumph too, damn.

So what's the rumour? If it's that Mark's got a little one then seeing as he's getting a Tiger that won't be true crazy.gif

Nope. But once the source is identified all might be revealed
JadedBlade
huh.gif ok, let me just say, this whole "I heard a rumour, but I can't tell you" thing is pretty school yard. Now we will have a thread full of 20 questions and "nope" responses. Its like listening to the Rocks " Bastard of a Teaser", and that comp is just plain gay!
Kiwikat
Off topic - Bike crated yet?

Its still a plan... Kevin, the canuck who now owns JadedBlade has a lead on an 07 675 in mint condition thats a stolen/recovered bike awaiting release from the Insurance company. They were receptive to my $3500US offer...
