heres a pic of my ride that has just arrived from the uk. It took a fall just before it left and i managed to to repair it with parts from ebay. The problem is i now need to paint it and dont know whether to go with the original blue or change it to red to match the fairing.

Red is faster . Seriously though, that's a nice bike. What about black - would look nice with the silver/grey of the frame?

Its only just gone back together after a complete engine rebuild and i aint buggering about stripping it again to paint the frame. Hmmm lets see what we've got, a honda rider says blue so thats out (plus it would be the hardest to do ) Kawaski's () are green and it would be secreligious. Orange is ktm. . . . . . . nahhhhh. Black is sexy, (so the wife tells me ) Red is fast, Red with a white stripe is faster.

Your wife has fantastic taste and you know you should listen to her.

Your wife and Monamie are right and you should go for black. Also if you scratch or damage it in the future (heaven forbid), it'll be an easier fix.

Research has shown that red motocycles get pulled up more than any other colour. Red must be faster.
Must be true. Came from KB site.
(From a black bike rider) Black shows the scratches and swirls more.

I just got back from the spray shop with a quote, $1000 I can buy a compressor and spray gun for much less than that bugger it up half a dozen times and still have change left over.

Not only do you have the spare change, but you also have the compressor and spray gun to paint other peoples bikes rather than just a pretty bike from the spray shop

Red, perhaps with some updated graphics? Like the traditional white on black Yamaha Corporate chevron theme or perhaps something along the lines of the Sandisk SBK rides of Nitro Noriyuki Haga and Troy Corser? Still red.
But whatever YOU do YOU have to like it every time you walk out the the garage.
BTW, Green bikes come last.

whats wrong with coming last? Sure it takes a hit on the ego but the scenery can be good. (depending on who you ride with)
