CDMTC clubmeeting Monday night. I'll be going over to this meeting at Palmy on Monday night. It'll only be my second meeting and I've only been on two rides with this group but since I canned off on their last weekend ride I thought I'd better be going.
For Friday Night's Manawatu Ride, Feilding riders can meet at the Railway Station at 5:40pm. weather permitting.
So what do they actually do for this club meeting night? I might come along if it sounds interesting

And Yes meeting at the railway station sounds like a plan

Awesome to touch base with some more Feilding Riders tonight. Thanks Melissa and Simon for joining us on the ride tonight. Nice to make new contacts and share general bike knowledge. A very enjoyable route.
A Local police (lady) decided to tail us all the way from Feilding to Bunnythorpe and then most of the way up Stoney Creek Road. Not a nice lady, expecting us law abiding riders to do something wrong.
We must set up a decent weekend ride for one weekend.

I'm pretty sure its not a problem where anyone lives, its more the fact that so many of us are turning up out here in Feilding. Aeeing as we keep passing each other everyday, Kat thought to set up a place on here where we can actually meet and pass info etc.
I ride with the guys out Ashurst on the Friday rides, with a bunch of MV F4 and R1 mounted guys from work on some weekends when we go play on the Rimutaka hill in Wellington, with a couple of guys and girls on 600s who hit the Feilding back roads most nights after work.
Everyone else knows others as well, why not all hook up, share routes and have a blast!.
This weekend maybe wet, plus the Final round of the Vic series is on at Manfeild. Thats where I will be if we don't ride up north this weekend. Pretty sure Dani and her crew will also be there as well as Cowboyz and co working on the crash crew.

I was thinking of doing the Rimutaka loop on the weekend but I also need to check out Horrocks park just outside of Wanganui. forecast is for 2 more days of rain though.
Are any Feilding riders interested in touching base over the weekend, having a few drinks and looking at possible rides over the summer?
JadedBlade
30 Oct 2008, 07:10 AM
Possibly. One problem though will be the types of rides people are looking for.
i.e. Mellissa likes the idea of a cruise down the highway to other towns to visit cafes etc. I'm sure a few others enjoy the same. While myself and a few like minded enjoy hitting the twisted stuff fast. Then there is the other crowd that likes doing the epic journeys from hell.
Trying to cater for these diverse groups will be interesting to say the least.
Feel free to either swing by home or set up a cafe breakfast in Feilding this weekend to sort a plan if you wish.

Hi All
Who or what are the "Feilding Riders". Is it a club ,are a group of like minded people going for rides on a casual basis? Are you make pacific? Do you have club nights?
Is this a sub branch of another club? Do you have a ride list?
Sorry for questions, I did the 800k in a day ride but don't belong to a club.
Thanks

Gidday there, did the 800k ride myself last year - missed this year as I was crook.
The Fielding riders just happen to be dudes from Fielding who ride together - nothing too organised (well, unless something has changed). They pop over & join the Manawatu crowd on Friday nite rides (6pm Ashhurst Mobil) etc.

Hi All
Who or what are the "Feilding Riders".
We're just another totally disorganised informal group of motorcycle riders, mostly all belonging to different groups or not. All ages / genders.
This is just another avenue to keep in touch, post rides, maybe socailise occasionally and offer mostly useless wisdom.
I belong to Central Districts Motorcycle Touring Club but haven't done many rides. It's handy to know other locals who just want to cruise occasionally.
Great to hear that you did the 800k ride. I'm not quite at that stage yet.
Perhaps a pre
Christmas or
New years drinks need to be sorted.
