WIMA Wellington Annual Pink Ribbon Ride 2008

What: Fundraising ride round the bays for all motorbikes and scooters

Prize for the best dressed pink rider

There will be bikes and motorcycle products on display from local motorcycle shops

Scooter test rides for $10 (all proceeds to the NZBCF)

Raffles and spot prizes donated by TSS Red Baron Motorcycles, Motormart, Motorad and Wellington Motorcycles

Badges $10

When: Sunday12 October, Meet 9.30am, ride departs 10.30am

Where: Te Whaea - National School of Dance and Drama, Hutchinson Rd (off John St), Newtown - top carpark. .

Why: Fundraising for the Pink Ribbon appeal to support the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation

Some of us from the Manawatu are heading down to this. Meeting at Summerhill Drive/Old West Road turnoff at 7.15am, leaving at 7.30am.
The more the merrier.

Yeah Baby ....she goes off to her daughters bedroom to find `pink`things.......it's not looking good....one pink set of butterfly wings and a pink tutu OMG

What size pink do you need? We could stitch some things together.

I think the rides a fantastic idea. Don't know if i can make it yet. I'm just scrounging round fro my pink leathers and I'll check to see what my daughters got for me How would this be on me in pink?

This would be quite fun and a nice excuse for a run to Welly but unfortunately I'm on call again this weekend to ensure I've got weekends free for stuff later in the month & next month.

Was thinking about going but the colours would clash.

Actually, I have a tournament on so no can do. Should be a good ride though.

Any excuse not to paint the bike.

Will give it serious thought,ma in law and an auntie have had breasts off.Might paint the boots pink as I go as slow as a girl.

I would have been quite keen too but the rear tyre on the bike is looking lean enough as it is bearing in mind that the four points is coming up, might even give the next few friday night rides a miss too.

Looks like we may be meeting Sinfull and others at Otaki, they are leaving about 9.00 for those who sleep in.

Will see how the day pens out,like the idea of a cruise to Wellyville.Felt tired as tonight so flagged the ride so Sunday seems the go.

Pauly has a slight problem.....well if you can call it that.

He is being seduced by the sexy yellow 3 legged pommy that usually lives up the hill overlooking Palmy. He is rather taken with her.
Can see the 2 of them are going to have fun tomorrow, but they will have to behave as her father is coming along with us.

Yeah, I saw how his arm was all twisted out of shape as he rode off with the daytona. Must have been hard work convincing him to take that out. You must have spent seconds trying to convince him it was a good idea.

Wow it was a fabulous day for the WIMA pink ribbon ride.
We met bright and early (even 86 ) at Summer hill (where was all the pink guys? ), followed `Head Fairy' at a nice pace and picked up Rottiguy at Shannon and headed for Latte's in Otaki where we met Sinfull, Heidi and friends. 86 took us into Wellington and we arrived in time for the briefing (we followed him even though he would'nt wear the `wings' ).
Beautiful day for a cruise around the bays .....very picturesque, lovely calm sea...lots of pink things on bikes. On return they drew raffles and certain jammy people won very nice prizes!!
We split up for the return trip ...one lot off to coffee and pitstop and the other did their favourtie `twisty`hill. Met up again in Waikanae then pootled off home.
Lovely day for a good cause...good company...nice bikes.....

You picked a nice day for it - sounds like a nice wee ride. My bikes stayed in the shed this weekend (except for friday nite ride) and the Connie got a little TLC (turtle wax, armourall etc) before her big weekend next weekend. Hope the weather is as good then...

Yes it was an awesome day yesterday.
Great company, also a big thanks to Al for letting Pauly give the Daytona a run, was great to have him out riding with us.

Not sure why none of the guys would pass me, they tell me it was the wings, but I think they were using me as the radar detector.
But all good, only saw one cop and that was on way home, and we were just pootling along so no dramas.

Fab ride around the bays, didnt know half of that even existed.
I won some Alpinestar gloves (funny enough the ones I had been looking at buying).

Thanks to all for the great company, ride and laughs. Can't wait to do it again soon

Nice looking bike but then the rear seat isn't too big,but then again if tiki touring 2 up we can stop often,as will get there quicker than at present hehe.Then again it is my bike ooops she might have say in that doh.Never take a woman looking at bikes with ya,she tried on some gloves at one shop when I was looking,then commented that's nice was a kawa 250,said to small,nah for me,$5500 was reply,then to next place and walked away with a new helmet for her,still they have 2 AGV going cheapish.
