Went on one of these a couple of years ago with cowboyz, they were bloody fast and i was very slow, got round though
I do believe they have slowed it down somewhat now, probably a good thing

There are some quick ones. Imagine my first ride with them, 3 weeks after spending 10g on a new bike, and riding over the saddle into the sun. There are a good group of relaxed riders as well as the quicker ones.

Sounds like it would be a fun group to ride with.... I'll be keen to come along if/when the wind dies down....

Yea........... i could have but then they would expect me to give them an arse whooping, this way, if i have got that much better and do leave them behind (wich i seriously doubt) i can hold my head up high and boast about it for weeks instead of hiding in shame dance4.gif

You can ride with me if you like. I've still got the trainers on.

We did the one ride with them yes. Reasons I never went back.

1. the win or bin mentality
2. the ride was about 20 mins then sat at the pub for the night
2. really really hard to get a conversation going with any of them (cause I am really shy in all)

Like all groups mostly really nice average people. Some people can be a bit standoffish like always. All age groups all experience levels. I remember folowing another group the other day and all the fats ones were way ahead, then kept stopping for smokes. Tortoise and Hare.

(oops , sorry I meant fast ones not fat ones)

So, who from Feilding is going on this tomorrow? Ride in together? Me and Mellissa are in. Dani? Kiwikat? EMORAL? Mayden?

As long as the weather stays fine I'm on for tomorrow? It will be nice to see some more Feilding faces. The ride is probably 45 mins to an hour with a nice stop after. I have a trophy to pass on.

Leave from the main BP in Feilding at 5.30pm then? As long as I don't blow out any more rectifiers of course!
Danica BladeBreaker
On duty tonight, sorry bud.
EMFORAL

I'll be at BP about 5.30 then shooting over via Bunnythorpe, Stoney Creek Rd, Main St, Church St. 20 min run max to BP Metro PN.

Watching weather, heavy clouds coming in from North East.

A nice ride tonight, weather held off. Route taken was Pahiatua Track, Ballance, Saddle Road/Gorge, Ashhurst, Through to Colyton, back up Valley Road to Pohangina, stopping off at the Wterford which had just closed but reopened for drinks. Smaller than usual turnout. An awesome run through the two colyton valley roads. That Honda 1000R demo was damned nice. I think I might be scared to try it.

So much for 20mins, not with a shortassed female police officer up our butts the whole was from Feilding to Palmy!! Every backroad turn we took, she took!
cowboyz

The correct response in that situation[1] is to take the piss, slow down to 85km/h, and take turns so you ride in circles until she fucks off.

[1] aka what I would do, anyway. smile.gif

From what I've seen all your tyres are slicks at some time or another. Now where's that burnout pic for insurance?
JadedBlade
no no no... see uneducated in the cowboyz ways... he ensuring no squiders can try to use his now unsafe rear tyre by bagging it.

Wednesday Ride is on again tomorrow night Wednesday @ 6:00pm leaving BP Metro. Weathers looking mint. Will be stopping for a feed /drink afterwards. Come and join me on the ride.

Now back to updating the CV. Why can't I just ride?

Will probably be at the airshow. Went to the last one - very hot day but worthwhile just for the Merlins (hopefully at least one there).
JadedBlade
Who do we pay the $40 Club fees too? Not sure if I'll make the ride tonight, only bike option I have is Lis's hack CBR400rr and the longest we have been on it is around the block twice...

A nice little ride tonight over the Pahiatua Track, through Ballance, the Gorge, Valley Road, Colyton, Reids Line, Bunnythorpe and ending at Speights Ale House. Nice beers / food but pricey.

Only a few riders tonight (holiday time) but good company. Good to see another Feilding rider out on the Haybailer (sorry mistake) High Bus (I'll get it right) Hayabusa. A nice machine. Lost him on the way back to Feilding. I think he was in front of me somewhere.

All and all a good night out and then home to the family. Looking forward to the next one.

Sat February 21 - Napier Art Deco
