I might go take one of these for a burst, what do you think!
The Rocket was first ever production bike to exceed 2-litres. A Triumph typical triple cylinder

A wacking 2,294cc pistons size you would normaly find in a V8 muscle car.

Some claim it has twice as much peak torque than almost any other production motorcycle, a massive 147ft.lbf torque at 2,500rpm, even with a pillion it will accelerate faster than pretty much anything else.

But wait till you get to a corner :)

That vid answers a question for me - adding 'power juice'.
I bet Warrens got some of that hidden away in his garage somewhere, that's his secrete

I might put a TV in the garage, park the bandit in front of it and play some montypyhton to it - that should inject some quirky fun into its personality

Go on, would be a nice bike :) could come visit me in Palmerston with it.

I sat on a GSX-650F at boyds today, nice bike :) would be good for riding to hamilton and back to palmy

650F eh? .. was in the mags this month ..

Yeah it was a nice bike, i got that 'feeling' inside when i sat on it, as in the feeling like, oh yeah this is the bike. I guess i liked it so much cause it was a comfortable bike, yet powerfull enough (greg said 85hp), its a practical bike, massive seat, nice seating position.
What did the mags say?

Sorry for ruining your thread Peter :P

Not ruining anything matt - I was just trying to put some content on here to kick things off, but I was interested in what the Rocket would be like to ride.
The only thing I would say about you on a GSX is - bye bye, I think you're fast enough on your 250 cruiser dude.

on that note...AuntyT wants to know if you have a back protector yet emforal :P

I sure have, feels pretty good on my bike, but would feel alot more comfortable on a sports bike rather than a cruiser.

Pete, are you upgrading bikes or somethin?

No - I was wondering if I would, but have decided to spend a shit load on the bandit for now
thought about getting a second bike though - gone off that idea.
My brother in law is looking at changing his bike from the RF900 to something smaller
he's got a nice Rf if you're interested
