Just posting the details for anyone who would like to see Grub off to the airport.


We plan to arrive in Whitby by about 1.15.. gives everyone 45 mins to talk & get sorted before service starts at 2pm.

Depends on which way eveyone wants to go, if its the direct route can leave Levin at 12noon .. stop at mobil at Pram' for 15 mins & head down OR if everyone wants to go over hill, leave Levin at 11.30 stop at pram 10 mins & stop on hill for 15 mins ... then head to Whitby.

I personally only met Brett once and Kari on a few rides. I know they are the sort of people that would do anything for anyone-were very generous with their time and helped many poeple.
I think he deserves a good send off.....it could have been any of us that didn't get home on Saturday....

Suggestions welcome ie: Some may feel they do not want to go to the service and just do the escort.

I dont think i ever met grub, but im sure i've read many of his posts.

I'll be more than happy to escort him on the ride, but perhaps someone who knows him better can take my place at the service.

Is this happening today?/ What date?

Details will be finalised once they are sorted with Kari. Apparently she would love as many bikes as possible to lead the Hearse. ...and she has an `open door' to anyone who wants to go and see her at her place.
Most of the goings on are on KB so go in and have a read there in case I have not passed anything on.
I was only posting to here to make sure none of you miss the chance to see him off .

At this stage I don't think I will be heading down. But then I may change my mind on the day so see you if I do.

I am unable to make it due to work.
But my thoughts will be with you all, ride safe, and give him a great send off from the Manawatu crowd

Work is my problem too Michelle - I would have liked to pop down. Can you please pass on that there's a lot of people that would have liked to be there to give him a biker's send off but are unable to do so.

Just a thought how bout we send a posse down to see Kari in a fortnight or so,she will be inundated with visitors for a while,but could be good in say 3 weeks or so.

+1. Yes i'd like go too but work is the issue for me too unfortunately, was hoping it the service was going to be in the weekend.

Monie and I are heading to Auckland on Friday so we are leaving a little earlier to attend the farewell service up there
