do I buy
  1. a set of Stradas $500
  2. a rear z6 at $300 and stick with my current m1 front
Meanie
I,m a little dissapointed in the Stradas, only got 6500 ks out of the rear. Got 9500 out of a Avon storm though so i think i,m gonna go back to the storms
Answer to your question, id go with a set, nothing like the feel of two new tyres
Warr
Tyres that stay up and prevent any unconscious moments are the best.
Leave the Bridgestones on the shelf tho.

Used to run the M1 front & Z6 combo on my Bandit (a mate runs Z6's front & rear and hasn't noticed much of a difference after previously running the M1 too). Really liked them - used to get about 9k out of them. Currently running the Stradas on the Connie and getting better mileage than Meanie wink.gif . Got just under 11k out of the 1st set - don't think I'm going to repeat that (summer time - they get more of a flogging than in winter). Quite like them although may try the Z6's at some stage. I prefer to run a set unless I know the combination works.

Wheres the option to vote for the Shinkos?

I want to live stop.gif

Shinkos are only good for MX bikes and tractors, and even then only if your prepared to have them chunk and fall apart in one days racing!

And Drag racing!

Good for old Hondas too I believe

cheap is good. I have been through all sorts of makes/models of tyres and keep coming back to the Pilot Road 2s. Good wear and plenty of grip for the road. Running PP 2CT on the back at the moment and it is disappearing fast. My second choice would be the racetecs. They are fantastic in the wet and dry.

On last bike which was a SV650s had Strada's on got good K's out of them. New bike has odd match has a Avon Storm on back and metzler on front think when it comes to replacing will go with all Avons seem to stick like glue had the front stepout a couple of times but nothing serious so may ditch metzler when back goes. I would go for a set then you know they are matched for each other. blink.gif
