Since I havent been over the Castlepoint thought a nice Sunday cruise would be in order (weather permitting)

Route to be discussed but at this stage looking at going via Pahiatua, Alfredton etc.
May have to stop in Masterton for fuel before heading out to Castlepoint for lunch.

Totally into that route, nice. We'll have a visitor from Canterbury along, so the back roadier the better

excellent stuff, yeah I have done that road to Masterton but never the road out to Castlepoint

You'll enjoy it, it's quite a nice stretch of road just need to have your eyed peeled for road works this time of year in particular, not to mention all the usual stuff.

I escorted our Canterbury guest over to Ashhurst for today's ride. Jeff (like many others) was working on Mainland time but hey, it's Sunday. A good number of Riders turning up at Mobil right through to 9:30, heading off to Castlepoint for the day. I was only going as far as Mangamaire so tagged on the back then dropped of to check up on CJ standing on the side of the road with his Honda and fuel issues. Luckily it was minor but screwed up the day out a bit. Shot over the Pahiatua track and just saw a couple of ahead of me when I turned off to Managamaire. I'm finally getting my cornering sorted and it is so sweeeet. I hope everyone had a great ride. Can't wait to see all the skinny dipping in the surf photos Carmen.

Well what a totally awesome day, total of 20 bikes left Pahiatua this morning, couple of minor opps along the way but no injured bodies, just slightly damaged bikes, and one cooked bike.

The beach was awesome, slight breeze which helped with the temp.

Hope everyone got home ok, I had to detour to Pahiatua as hit reserve just as I left Eketahuna.
