"I'd like to give the bike-riders an alternative to their final destination instead of being in a sidecar, which is attached to a motorcycle. Funerals have always been the final ride, so for a biker this is the only way that they'd ever want to travel. Want to be on a bike for their last ride.
People see it on the road, it creates havoc. People stop and try and follow it, trying to get photos.
The colour actually came about because we didn't want to paint it black like the traditional hearse. So we thought we'd try and lighten up the whole image of death, so we decided to pick on tangerine."
I was right there with ol Mikie boy - until he talked about trying to 'lighten up the whole image of death' - and painting the hearse 'tangerine' - thats just not right.
