So there i was, finished work for the day, just sitting in front of the Computer screen bored as usual. So i got off my lazy ass and decided to go for a ride.
The first plan was some lookout a guy from work mentioned. Turned up to that, took about 5 minutes to get there, so i wasn't satisfied.

From on top of the Memorial looking towards Wanganui:

Had no idea where to go, so i found a back road behind the memorial and came accross this town hall build in 1914(or 41), Obviously has had a paintjob since then, but was still cool :)

Then, i rode off into the sunset :)

And spent the next 30km's trying to find my way home again :-X
Was a nice ride :) wasn't about speed, just cruising around :)
Tried practicing a few of the things mentioned in the book 'Twist of the Wrist 2" unfortunately the Hyosung proved to be lacking in power, so a lot of the time i was already going normal speed into a corner and trying to get 40/60, but alas, no more power left (might have already been 40/60. unsure). It did feel like my cornering was a lot smoother than usual, mabey its just been so long since ive gone for a ride? But as i said, the ride wasn't about speed, more about cruising ;) so i probably wasn't pushing it enough to get results.
Anyway, thats enough from me.
Peace ;D
I'm thinking about doing a weekly ride then write up :) see what other treasures i can find down here. What do ya think?
Did you go for a ride today? Post about it.

Thats because you don't have a social ride!!! I have social rides, with myself sometimes :)
I enjoy just going for a ride :) Perhaps its because i have given up riding fast on my bike? Since its not really possibly :D

Is that actually possible? 'social' and 'by your self' is kind of opposite.

I made a wee video on my N95 phone today, uploaded it to youtube tonight with some added sound frilly bits. It does include some riding (on a moutain-bike) through the streets of Ham East. Phones dont really have the frame-rate and stability features to do clean video when youre on the move, really need a digital-camera or full-on video cam I reckon. Check it out anyway...

Yes v Arty for sure. The bike shadow across the grass was a cool bit.
And good use of editing.
I say that cause I cant/dont think I have capabilities to do any editing and your effort wasnt over the top as some try and do.
I do have a video camera, which gets the occasional outing. Not a digital but for the resolution everyone is used to its ok :)

i is pleased to see that i is not the only one to go on a RIDE on the way home . I tend too do much the same as i travel about 20km to get home is the most drect way but i do have many other ways depending on my mood and how shit the day was the most i did was around 150 km as i travel out to tarata (back of inglewood ) bloody good roads out there windy as a snake. so keep it real and just do it go for a play on the way home.
