So today .. thinking I missed the boat on the "christian riders" .. I ventured out on my own with Ashleigh (14 year old daughter) on the back.

She's been nagging for ages, that she wants a ride, so today seemed as good a day as any.

Off in to town to do petrol and tyre pressures, then I head north to Ngaruawahia, in a desperate hope to catch the other group.
No luck.
Oh well .. turn left at Taupiri, then weave my way through back roads to morrinsville.
From there it was more back roads to Cambridge, then Kaipaki road to Ohaupo, forket road to Ngahinapouri, then back home ... A nice easy 130kms with the kid on the back.

Back home, and MrsTA says "my turn"

So on to the 250 I climb, double her into town to a deserted car park.

An hour or so of lessons and practising . .was fun :)
Lessons today were:
Starting and stopping smoothly
Counter steering (needs much more practise)
low speed steering (the oposite to countersteering)

Lets hope for fine weather next weekend, so we can practise some more

You must have the patience of a saint.
I tried to teach mrs col how to ride but soon gave up
due to the amount of stress she caused me with her inabilty to
do the simplest of things and my inability to stop shouting at her
and stomping off in a huff.

Or it's Mrs T who has the patience of a saint
I've taught a couple of nephews and nieces to drive a car - the multiple functions of driving take a while to learn, but have become so second nature to us now it can be hard to remember how difficult it is to get the most basic co-ordination together
